Meet the Owner
Hi, I'm Ruth Maher. I grew up in the 19th Ward and am now living in Irondequoit. In April, I had the exciting opportunity to become the new owner of this neighborhood liquor store, which has been part of the community since 2009. It's located at the corner of Plank and Empire in Penfield, NY.
My goal is to build on the history and sense of community that have made this shop special for so many years. I'm excited to bring my own passion and personality to the store, with a thoughtfully curated selection of wines and spirits and rare finds.
As a women-owned business, I'm passionate about creating a welcoming place where you can discover something new, find an old favorite, or simply stop in and chat about what's in your glass.
I'm so grateful to be here and can't wait to get to know our neighbors. Welcome to Ruthie's!
